Why I Love Kittens And Cats
Why I love kittens and cats? Every cat is a story. Every cat is an unforgettable experience. Every cat taught me something of value.
My beloved dog passed away at 16. I had a hard time coping with the loss. That’s when the tortoiseshell kitten came in. I like animals in general, but I was missing a dog, not a kitten.
Guess what? The tiny kitten stepped up to – as much as possible – fill in my dog’s shoes. It was very dog-like! It became my best friend in no time and helped restore my inner balance, which was out of whack in the mourning period. The tortoiseshell cat restored my joy. She was one of a kind. (I’ll always believe that the spirit of my dog came back as the tortoiseshell cat.)
The tabby cat was born extraordinary and fiercely independent. He is the one who taught me that a cat is an individual and a philosopher. He had a strong personality and a commanding presence. I loved and admired him because he knew how to guard his Zen. We were friends with a healthy respect for each other’s need to be alone sometimes. I learned valuable lessons while observing him.
I shared here just two of my cat experiences; there have been many more. Each precious in its own way.
It’s because of the kittens and cats I loved and love that I became a devoted Kitten Grandpa.
If you don’t like cats, you don’t understand them. Learn to understand a cat. That’s one investment you will never regret!
